ESG? Compliance? Sustainability?

In a world that is increasingly characterized by the challenges of climate change, social imbalances and the need for responsible corporate governance, the topic of “sustainability” is becoming more and more important. Sustainability has long since ceased to refer solely to environmental issues, but also encompasses the areas of social issues and corporate governance (ESG). 

All three topics are undergoing comprehensive change, accompanied by numerous regulatory measures. At MONTAPLAST, we therefore must remain innovative and align our emerging compliance system accordingly. You can find our first modules here.

Code of Conduct

The MONTAPLAST Code of Conduct reflects our ethical and value-based foundation as a family-owned company. In all business decisions and actions, MONTAPLAST endeavors to comply with applicable laws and other relevant regulations at home and abroad. Integrity and honesty promote fair competition, also in relation to our customers and suppliers. An english Version will soon be available.

Whistle­blowing

You can use our whistleblowing system to report violations of applicable laws, our Code of Conduct and MONTAPLAST's internal guidelines. Violations of human rights and environmental protection can also be submitted. Thank you for your help and cooperation.

Reports

Since 2022 we offer an annual company report. From 2024 on this will a sustainability report.

Regional Commitment

Our social commitment also focuses on our roots, and we support regional initiatives and institutions. For several years now, our trainees have been involved in the Trainee Social Day, for example.

Unimpressed by wind and rain, they helped with garden waste collection at the Morsbach residential association St. Gertrud and the daycare center "Regenbogen" in 2025. Many thanks to all the helpers!

Social Activities

Stadtradeln 2025 - cycling together for a better environment.

A strong team of 33 MONTAPLAST employees cycled 7,917.3 km in 2025. This was rewarded with a bronze medal in the overall ranking.

We are proud of our motivated employees and the result they achieved.

Youth Initiatives

We are also involved in initiatives throughout the year, particularly for young people. These include, for example, “Kein Abschluss ohne Anschluss (KAoA)” by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, career guidance for school pupils, our cooperation with the Leonardo da Vinci School in Morsbach and our regular participation in Girl's Day.

Compact

MONTAPLAST is participating in the UN Global Compact initiative. An initiative for companies to align strategies and operations with principles for human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption, and to take actions that advance societal goals.

For the employees of MONTAPLAST, acomplishing the ten principles of the UN Global Compact is not a task but our commitment. Caring for human rights as well as corruption prevention is our second nature and our labor standards are on the highest level.
